Below is a copy of one of the weekly newsletters my friend, Heather, sent to our friends at work during my pregnancy as the BPA (Baby Personal Assistant):
Hello Baby Scouts! We are at week 16!!
Hello Baby Scouts! We are at week 16!!
Baby Melleonator:
-Legs are more developed
-Head is more erect
-Eyes are moving closer to the front of its head
-Its ears are almost where they are supposed to be!!!
-The patterning of its scalp has begun… we can't see the hair just yet, but we're hoping there won't be receding hairline!
-There are toenails!
-Its little heart is beating 25 quarts of blood each day
Mama Melleonator:
-Getting bigger! (they had fancier terms, but for the sake of the men on this email I will leave out all of the exact details)
-Feeling
better- less nausea, fewer mood swings (thoughts Brent?), and
"glowing"skin, seriously guys you have to wear sunglasses to look at
her!
Coming soon:
-Baby
movements!!! Women can feel their baby move as early as 16 weeks!
However for some it takes longer than 18. Erika may be confused since
its her first child, but the earliest movements
may feel like little flutters, gas bubbles, or popcorn popping! So come
on over and feel Erika's belly! Music and flashlight shining are
allowed.
Sincerely,
Heather, the official BPA
